Rosie Start free

Keep the clippers going. Rosie answers the phone.

Grooming enquiries answered, priced by breed and booked — on WhatsApp, on your own number.

£29/month after the free tier. No commission, no contract, keep your own number.

A groom takes two hours. Enquiries get an answer in seconds.

You physically cannot leave a nervous dog on a table to take a call. So enquiries pile up and get returned in a batch at the end of the day, by which time the owner has booked the salon that answered.

Grooming enquiries are also unusually easy to handle in writing and unusually painful on the phone. Breed, coat condition, when they were last done, whether they're anxious, whether they've been matted — all of that is faster typed than described, and a photo settles it instantly.

Britain now has around 15.5 million pet dogs, in 41% of households. Demand is there. Answering it is the opportunity.

There is a second cost that is easy to miss. When you do call back at six o'clock, you are working unpaid — an hour of admin at the end of a day that already ran long, chasing people who have mostly moved on. Handling those enquiries as they arrive also hands you back the evening.

What it looks like for dog groomers

Hiya, how much for a cockapoo groom?
Hi, I'm Rosie, Nicola's assistant. Full groom for a cockapoo is £55. How long since his last one, and is he matted at all?
About 4 months, he's a bit matted underneath
That is fine, it just takes a bit longer. Could you send a quick photo so Nicola knows what she is working with? She has Thursday 11am or Friday 2pm free.
[photo] Thursday please
Lovely. Let me hold Thursday 11am and check it with Nicola.
Confirmed, Thursday at 11am. Nicola will message you the night before.

Every price in that exchange came straight from the rate card you set up.

What it does, precisely

What it costs

£29 a month, flat. No commission on bookings, no per-message charge, no contract. For a typical dog groomer job at around £55, a single extra booking a month covers it.

The free tier handles your first ten conversations a month, enough to see how your customers take to it before you pay anything.

Questions dog groomers ask

Can it price by breed?

Yes — you set a price per service, and you can list breed sizes or coat types as separate services with their own prices. It will only ever quote what you've entered.

What about matted or difficult dogs where I'd charge more?

Set that as a band rather than a fixed price and it will quote the range and say the final figure depends on the condition on the day. It won't commit you to the low end.

Can it ask for a photo?

Yes, and it's prompted to for grooming enquiries. Photos come straight through WhatsApp and get attached to the booking.

I already use a booking system. Does this replace it?

No — it sits in front of it, handling the conversation that happens before a booking exists. If your customers mostly rebook themselves in an existing system, it earns its keep fastest if you field a lot of first-time enquiries.
