Keep teaching. Rosie answers the phone for you.
Pupil enquiries get answered and priced on WhatsApp while you're in the car, and held for your one-tap yes — using your own number.
£29/month after the free tier. No commission, no contract, keep your own number.
Every enquiry gets an answer, even mid-lesson
An ADI spends most of the working day in the passenger seat with a learner doing 40mph. You physically cannot take the call, and you shouldn't. So the enquiry goes to voicemail, and most people who hit voicemail hang up without leaving a message.
By the time you pull over between lessons and call back, the parent has already rung the next three instructors on Google and booked whoever picked up. Parents book whoever answers first, which is a matter of timing rather than price or reputation.
The test backlog has made this worse, not better. Demand is high and instructor numbers have fallen by over 10,000 in five years — which means more enquiries per instructor, and more of them going unanswered.
What it looks like for driving instructors
Every price in that exchange came straight from the rate card you set up.
What it does, precisely
- Answers WhatsApp enquiries in seconds, on the number you already use.
- Asks the qualifying questions that matter for driving instructors — and only those.
- Quotes from your rate card, and brings you in when a customer suggests a figure of their own.
- Offers up to three genuinely free slots and books one.
- Hands over the moment you reply yourself, so you always have the floor.
- Flags anything urgent so you can ring back yourself.
What it costs
£29 a month, flat. No commission on bookings, no per-message charge, no contract. For a typical driving instructor job at around £380, a single extra booking a month covers it.
The free tier handles your first ten conversations a month, enough to see how your customers take to it before you pay anything.
Questions driving instructors ask
Do I have to change my phone number?
No. It runs on your existing WhatsApp Business number, and your WhatsApp Business app keeps working exactly as it does now. Pupils message the same number that's on your car.
What if I want to answer someone myself?
Just reply in WhatsApp as normal. Rosie sees that you have stepped in and goes quiet immediately for that conversation, so you are never talking over each other. She stays quiet until you hand her back.
Where do the prices come from?
Straight from the rate card you set up, and nowhere else. If a pupil asks about a figure that is not on it, or asks for a discount, that comes to you to answer.
What about parents who ring rather than message?
Today it covers WhatsApp — links on your Google Business Profile, your car and your website. Missed-call capture that texts callers a WhatsApp link is coming.
How does it fit round lessons I booked by phone?
Every booking waits for you. When a pupil picks a time you get a one-tap yes or no, so this morning's phone booking always wins. Take your time — the pupil is told you will follow up.
Do I have to keep a digital calendar?
No. That's the point of the confirmation step — it works from a paper diary or your head, because you're the one saying yes. If you do keep a Google or Outlook calendar you can connect it later and skip the confirmation.
Will the slots fit my driving between pupils?
It checks the postcode against your other lessons that day and offers slots you can comfortably reach. The estimate leans cautious, so you arrive with time in hand.
